I made a start tonight on the new Howa Skeleton stock that we're using on the shootingaustralia.net giveaway Howa rifle.

The stock is machined from 6061-T6 aluminium barstock. They're a modular design that takes any AR15 butstock as well as the fixed skeleton stock.

Video below of the first process, these are machined 2 at a time from a 100x50x800 long piece of aluminium then cut apart and finished off.

That's the roughing out process done, there's still .5mm to come off to clean up the finish. More to come over the next few weeks.

Looking foward to the updates as it goes along but looking great .

This isn't rocket science guys ... it's more complicated than that, and it has aspects of the Dark Arts, And this smokeless stuff will not last
