Anybody using a Parker Hale PH60 6 hole front eyepiece on their target rifle??
I cant post photo of this particular eyepiece as don't know how to post photos.
If you Google " Parker Hale PH60" you will see what they look like. This sight dates from 1954!!
The PH60 is unique in that the rear section unscrews & you can insert very small coloured glass filters.
I am attempting to locate a seller of these glass filters. I believe they were originally called "plano light filters"??
Have tried Fultons in UK but no luck, hoping somebody on forum may be able to assist.
Otherwise may end up getting an optometrist to make some --if possible??
(Use this sight on my BSA Martini International Mark 3)
Thanks

I might still have some filters tucked away in the shed. Will check tomorrow.

You are too late for my stuff as its gone but.:(
You can make these filters from any colored see through plastic.
Think welding filters or colored book binders or craft shops for finding the plastic clear stiff sheet.
It won`t last as well as glass but will do the same thing -- just knock out a couple of the light / color elements.
Most ones I saw were either yellow or blue most popular and some red.
FWIW they didn`t do much for me but yellow was good for bright sunshine days.
Probably cut them out with a sharp leather punch or similar by turning it (slowly) on the plastic If I recall how I did mine.
Also on a martini but those multi hole eye pieces fitted central sights too so some good old boys in TR Club near you might have some thing.
From what I see most of those smaller ring sights became redundant in favor of larger ones and Eagle eyes and so on so you could be lucky with old TR shooters and their collected over the years stuff.
HTH a bit.:)

Thanks for the input NF appreciate your assistance.
Yeah I know I could go eagle eye etc but I like to shoot this particular rifle in as close to original form as possible.
The Parker Hale PH1 sight on front of rifle only takes the small 15mm sight elements(rather than 18 or 22mm) & it makes this rifle a challenge to shoot well.
Have shot a 0.25 group at 50yds & believe I can eventually improve on this

There's a bloke on eBay UK selling a pile of perspex front sight filters, he may have some of the rear sight filters also:

www.ebay.com.au/itm/perspex-elements-15m...b:g:s9IAAOSwNchaMR3t

The International is a great target rifle. If you're shooting 1/2" groups at 50m with iron sights you'd beat a lot of others using telescopic sights.

Like this one used to -- then it went north -- and I heard a kid up there was shooting winners with it too.
