If a cat is owned, not allowed to wander and controlled in its home environment - get it vaxinated. Dog too.

Apart from that - hope they all pass it to each other and the cat population heads for extinction in Australia.

Hate feral cats.

Wonder if some of those cats would like a "holiday" to recover, out west sounds good to me.

Oh dear too late she cried . y fav cats.

Arrested in the act of breaking in

.

222 and 40 grn VMax and cats should avoid each other if possible.:pinch:

Trying to sneakskulk away unnoticed and true to nature away from a 130 grn TNT /308.... no winners in that one either.
Several cats were annihilated in this process but lots of wild life was potentially saved.

like these little blokes "Hooded Robin" chicks easy prey not far up from the ground and bugger all left around here anyway.
Just one thing of many.

Once quite common but now .....thanks to a multitude of efforts to save the country most have succeeded in making things worse, for wildlfe in particular.
Cats don`t help things either.

Had a fair size dragon lizard taming down and it would sit on the brick window sill and come near my feet when hunting in the yard if I stayed still when drinking beer on those scorcher arvo's we had after xmas.

When changing beers, the wifes young female rag doll escapes and wife was not home. As it is never out I let it have an explore.
Must have heard or scented the lizard hiding in the garden as it came back down from top area and had it in it's mouth within 2 minutes.

I did a quick release and it wasn't harmed but will prob never tame down again as that was a first for me with a dragon.

Sadly, the lizard seems to have gone in the last few weeks.

Moral of the story is the only safe place for any cat is locked inside or in front of a bullet.

Pretty much accepted that eating lizards will make cats and dog sick:sick: .
My little terror used to like chasing and catching drop-tail skinks ans eating them for a while but now after a few crook in the guts days she won`t eat them.
She will chase them until she got that bad habit disciplined out of her.
No she just watches them in the garden and under the door sill and looks at me and then the lizard and.... NO I wont chase it really truly honest  I was just watching them. .

the general idea I hear is that if dogs or cats do eat lizards they will get awfully skinny from that.

Some bush cats are skinny as all get out when there`s not much tucker or water : around but the mongrels still survive on lizards and skinks in a drought and they are a skeleton with skin on but still only die from a good dose of lead.

Never ever underestimate a cats survival instinct /ability or cunning.
Witches and Black cats go together for a reason ---may bee.

Blue tongue or bobtails make good pets and will respond to feeding.
Love raw eggs in a saucer and strawberries straight off the plants too:angry:

They look and act aggressive but are not really ..can be quite a circus if the latch onto a dogs nose though :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:

The good bit is they are reputed to keep snakes away from the house and garden so that`s fine by me.
A snake might take on a blue tongue but if a big lizard gets a grip on the snake its more likely crunch time for the snake.
That`s also fine by me

Most years I get blue tongues. Some stay a few months, some longer.
This year I got a dragon in the front yard and the friendly one in the back.
Was a buzz to watch it hunt bugs on the grass.

Was wondering about snakes as the habitat gives them places to hide like the lizards seem to like.
Not had one in the yard but next door had one.

Ever wonder just how varied a bob tails diet is ?.
Years ago I spotted one undisturbed stripping green spear grass heads for the seed.

Grass only bit over foot high they grab it by the stem near the bottom and bend it over and run it through their mouth sideways to strip the seed.
The joys of being in the bush some times you see once in a life time things happen in nature that many people would n`t even know exists.

Some times but vary rarely you will surprise a cat too --- that`s a joy by itself just as you squeeze the trigger.... and totally F&^%$Mr Tiddles day :woohoo:

Yeah ! bush is fine by me:whistle:

Old mate (Teddles) had an antique golden retriever (Humphry) who was "on a mission from god" - the dawg would spend it's every waking moment snuffling out bobtails, then bring them back to Ted - who would de-tick the bobbie, dab on some mercurochrome and give the bobbie back to Humphry, who would then take it back to where he found it, / rinse and repeat, no matter where they were.

Humph' was known to arrive home with the occasional bobbie hanging off an ear - as well as one in his mouth.....didn't worry him at all.

Humph' even walked into our shop with a ruddy great (and not very happy) bobbie in his mouth one day, much tour checkout lass's dismay - now THAT was quite a circus - involving rapid acrobatics, table top dancing and much noise.

all times wasted wots not spent shootin'
